Punjabi makke ki roti is specially relished in winters because it is easily digested during this season. Mostly its combination is with sarso ka saag but here I am serving it with simple methi bhaji and fruit raita.

Methods
  • 1. 1. Take flour in a mixing bowl. Add salt and carom seeds.
  • 2. 2. Knead the dough with lukewarm water. Make a smooth and firm dough.
  • 3. 3. Sprinkle some maize flour on the rolling board. Make a dough ball and pat it evenly.
  • 4. 4. Spread ghee on tava. Gently place the roti on it.
  • 5. 5. Cook on medium low flame till both sides show proper brown spots.
  • 6. 6. Serve hot with generous amount of ghee or butter.
