wash and soak the brown rice for 10 minutes in water.Also wash and soak chopped potato and keep aside.

Heat mustard oil in a wide pan, and let it smoke.Add the asafoetida and cumin seed and let the oil become fragrant.

Add the green chillies, turmeric, red chilli and coriander powder and saute for a minute.Now add chopped tomatoes and salt and saute for 2-3 minutes. Now add peas and mix well. Then add water in this mixture.

When the water get boiled add rice and potatoes in the water. Also add garam masala in it. cover it with a lid to cook for 1 whistle. After that switch off the flame.
5.
When the pressure goes down, open the lid. Add coriander leaves. Fluff up the rice With a fork The leaves. Now you can serves this tehri with chatni and curd.
