Description
Sage leaves are the grayish leaves of the sage plant that belongs to the mint family Lamiaceae and native to the Mediterranean region. They can be air-dried or dried in a food dehydrator or oven. Sage leaves are easy to dry as they contain less moisture than those of other herbs. Dried sage leaves can be whole leaves, rubbed or ground leaves. Dried rubbed leaves have a light, velvety texture. Ground leaves are in a free-flowing powder form.
