Description

Black gram is one of the important pulse crop grown throughout India. It is grown in rainy and summer season. It has a black colored skin with a sheen. It is cylindrical and vertical in shape. Beneath its skin is a whitish portion which is oval in shape. It is generally used in the form of 'Dal'. It has a very short­ life span ranging from 90 to 120 days.
